Lossa Engineering SR500

The SR500 is one of the prefered bikes when building a custom. It's fairly cheap and you can build all kinds of models from the base of it, wheter it's a tracker or a cafe racer. One of the best customizations of the SR500 is the Solus, made by Lossa Engineering. This 1978 SR500 is a real beauty with it's red & white paintjob. Pictures are always nice to show when talking about a bike, but I think a short movie gives better credits to the looks.

Roland Sands' Desmosedici Street Tracker

See the site of cycleworld for the story behind this build of Roland Sands. This isn't your typical Roland Sands bike but I love the way they changed this Desmosedici into a Street tracker, one of my favorite types of custom bikes. Normally you only see older bikes changed into street trackers, like Richard Pollock from mulemotorcycles. But this Desmosedici shows that you don't need to find an old bike which are getting more and more difficult to find these days.

Frankie's Gun - The Felice Brothers

Here's a short movie with some good music to go with it: Frankie's Gun by The Felice Brothers. I just love the bikes from the guys from Blitz Motorcycles which are riding in France in this movie. It shows the essence of riding a bike... having fun and forget the rest! I hope you will all enjoy this clip as much as I do and wish you the best of luck and a lot of miles on the bike for next year.

Welcome

Welcome to my first blog. On this blog you will find pictures and stories about bikes: classic's, customs, modern bikes as well as bike builders. I love motorbikes. Since I was a little boy I dragged my dad to shows and collected miniature bikes. When I turned 21 I took lessons in Groningen and after obtaining my drivers license for motorbikes of all categories (The Netherlands has several rules concerning which bikes you are allowed to ride), I bought myself a '97 ZX7r. Preferebly I would have bought a custom bike, but since I'm just a student and don't have that much money to buy a custom, or the space to build a custom myself, I went for this old 750cc supersportbike.

I hope you will enjoy this blog.
